He has assisted Canadian professionals in their application for employment in the U.S. under NAFTA regulations and advised on border processing matters. Mr. Arutunian has advised individuals seeking family reunification in family-based green card applications and couples seeking to reunite in the U.S. through fiancee visa petitions. Prior to forming the Law Offices of Gevork Arutunian, PLLC., Mr. Arutunian has experience working in a general practice setting as well as a boutique immigration firm. He also interned for a state court judge and provided volunteer services for a not-for-profit organization in Western New York.
Mr. Arutunian entered University at Buffalo Law School on a Dean’s scholarship, received multiple scholarships while attending, and graduated magna cum laude. He was also the recipient of the Robert J. Connelly award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy upon graduation. His performance in law school was consistently ranked in the top 1-15% of his class. Mr. Arutunian served as the Executive Publications Editor and the Technology Editor of the Buffalo Intellectual Property Law Journal. He also studied international law and European Union law at the University of Oxford in England.
Peter J.C. Zhang
Mr. Zhang has extensive experience in creating and executing innovative solutions for investment and immigration. Mr. Zhang served as immigration counsel to EB-5 regional centers, developers, and foreign investors. He has successfully guided foreign companies in their expansion to the United States, and has served as acquisition counsel to a premier seafood distribution company in the Russian Federation.
Mr. Zhang received his Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of Rochester and his Juris Doctorate from the University at Buffalo. While attending law school, he received the prestigious Welles Moot Evidence Award and was a participant in the university’s International Law and Finance Program in New York City. Mr. Zhang is admitted to practice in the states of New York and New Jersey, and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals.
